
Azura Boutique Hotel
Objective: To propose a conceptual design of a boutique hotel that connects to the character of its location, increases profit for the local community, and fosters an excellent tourist stay.
Problem Statement
Azura boutique hotel is an accommodation project located in Quadra Street, Victoria, British Columbia. The hotel is comprised of two levels designed for adult stay only, where European influences are drawn from the local architecture. Besides the private hotel amenities, the hotel has a café/ restaurant open to all the guests and the public, offering local foods, coffee, tea, wine, and a wide range of pastries. The hotel will cater to support the needs of every guest while profiting the local community.
Project Significance
Azura's boutique hotel design aims to target Victoria's adult tourism demographic by creating a luxurious yet cultural environment. The interiors are influenced by neo-classical and French colonial styles that well represent the architectural history and character of Victoria, British Columbia. The hotel design focuses on creating an elegant and relaxing experience for guests and employees by facilitating a variety of rooms, amenities, and services. All of Azura's interior spaces have been designed with accessible, diverse, and inclusive considerations to enhance the experience of safety and comfort for every occupant.
